But before I leave you, dear friends, I wanted to share some images that we both shot for the 19 Days Project. You may recall my images shot for the same project a week ago, but I wanted to give you a little insight into Bobby's mind and the world he creates for us through his imagery x

Charlie's Apple
Can you believe that we are here? Yesterday, we bid 2012 adieu and now I find myself looking down the tail end of March into April. They say that time flies when you are having fun. I would say that is true, it's definitely been a fun ride with Bobby over the last 12 months. He brings out the child in me and makes me laugh until it hurts, or until I get physically hurt (what is it with boys wanting to rough and tumble?!). But, it's been a great journey. This could be last blog post we bring you before we embark on our trip to the States. Bobby and I shall try to keep you all updated via our Instagram, and even make a sneaky blog post whilst we are out there.

the cold morning light
Bobby and I styled a photo shoot on the weekend, as part of a
photography project I am taking part in (we will be styling and photographing
his contribution on Sunday) and whilst I was sitting there editing my images I
couldn’t help but allow a stream of thoughts flow through my mind ready for their
own editing.
I discovered that maybe I need to write in order to create
images that recreate an inkling of what is in my head. One simply cannot exist without the other. The
act of breathing life to the thoughts that echo within my head through the
medium of the written word in turn sparks the connective labour of my second
love, the visual medium.
How one cannot truly exist without the other has become intriguing to me. I wondered how long I could sit and think about this concept and dream up plausible reasons as to why.
During sleepless nights, I've found myself sitting here for hours, searching by a dim light perched in the corner of the room, for the words uttered by great scholars and authors which resonate and bring life to the voice within me. I’ll sit there, running my finger over the words of a cherished quote as though the simple act of touching the paper will infuse my skin and soul to the same identity.
And then I realise:
My writing is my identity.
My photography is a manifestation of those words.
The former cannot exist without the latter.
The atoms within the core of my being bellow this. It's what holds my essence together.
Knowing this and coming to this realisation, I trust in this fuel to keep moving forwards, trying to always be better at what I do, creating visuals from the words that are born within me.

Our Facebook page...and progress
We are slowly getting ourselves organised amidst the crazy dust that surrounds us. With the help of our wonderful friend Creative Designer Rozhia, we are getting our branding and logo set up, and slowly we shall be re-directing to a newer more wonderful webpage. I think we shall be doing a little happy dance once the business cards and website are officially off the ground.
In the meantime, we have set up a facebook page so that all our lovely friends and readers can follow us there, as well as here x

little flower
There's been a lot of love floating around for the past few weeks. It feels like a blessing to be surrounded by people who's eyes are bright with a flame that burns deep within.
It is inspiring, to say the least.
Thank you.
Thank you, for sharing that with us, and allowing us to be a part of those stories that will make up your future.
My mum gave me some flowers a couple of weeks ago to brighten up the apartment. They are the same flowers that paved the ground which we both walked upon as we made our journey to make our vows and promises to one another.
Love.

And so it goes...
Every day, we come home.
Every day, he reaches my hands and pulls at my limbs.
Every day, he re-charges my soul with a single hug that he bestows, that lasts so much longer.
Last night, I was driving upon the roads of reflection, wondering where our magical lives will lead us all. The tiger within our soul will drive us to be fearless, but force us to face our unbearing struggles.
And when we stop mid-way through this journey and look back upon the road we have traveled, will we chose to see beauty within the stories of our palms, or will we live a life that is merely acceptable for those around us?
I know that I am here right now talking to you, because of him. He is the ebb and flow of the breaths I take.
"And so it goes with God"...the beauty and majesty of this world around us exists within a single belief.

Bowral Beckoned and Bloomed
For my birthday (back in September) Bobby took me to the Blue Mountains for two days of relaxation and fun, of which we still have not posted the photos!
For his birthday, I wanted to treat Bobby to a similar experience so I chose Bowral as our two day getaway location. I had never been to Bowral, so this could have been a disaster waiting to happen. My gamble paid off. Bowral is one of the most beautiful and scenic places in NSW that I have been to in the past 11 years. I felt as though we had driven 1.5 hours straight out of Australia to some other lush country which was plump with love and hospitality. It's always a little worrying when you book a hotel that looks good on paper (web) but you just don't know exactly what you're getting yourself in for until you actually get there. Gibraltar Hotel did not disappoint. From the spacious rooms to the plush king-sized bed, to the heated indoor spa pool. Delightful.
Biota Dining was one of the highlights of the trip. Sustainable resourced food in such a tranquil setting, we truly were treated as special customers by the staff and especially our waiter, Mark. We didn't feel we were at a restaurant per se, but rather dining at the house of someone who valued our thoughts and time. Truly a fabulous location and I highly recommend anyone passing through Bowral to visit Biota Dining.
After what was almost 3 hours at the restaurant, I asked the waiter if there was a forest nearby that he could recommend for us to explore...and he quickly put to rest my idea of the Belanglo State Forest (I knew it sounded familiar when I saw it on the map!! phew!)
We ended up at Penrose State Forest and couldn't have been more blown away with the magical surroundings. I know that Bobby and I can't wait to take another trip down to Bowral and beyond to explore more of what it has to offer.
My wonderful husband, I hope you had a glorious intro to your first birthday in Australia.
Here are just a few frames from our time in The Shire x
