Revolver

Be the rabbit in this hat and surprise me with your promises that echo out of this revolving world of resistance.
Everything here is running out of time as we run towards something which is far out of mind.
And in the distance, that train hurtling forwards screams like a ghost train of memories, fighting to not be forgotten.
Call onto us from your merry-go-round and evolve us from this inertia.

ghosts live on film

Picking up film from the developers, and not knowing what magic is contained within it's canister is such an exciting feeling.  There might be that one photo in there, that's worth the sky-rocketing cost of developing.  I'm sat here, sifting through these images that I picked up, fighting off the sleep banging as the arches of my heels as 11pm edges closer to reality.   I leave you with these, with not much else to say, but "nothing is sweeter that the warm bed that awaits you."
(A mixture of 35mm and 120mm Ilford film)

The Missing

The weather here has been so cold as of late, and we find ourselves struggling to drag our bodies out of bed every morning.  There are times where I am on the train into work, wrapped up on woollen scarves and coats, and I am pretty certain that my brain is still snug as a bug wrapped up in our duvet.
I for one am truly missing family during these colder months.  Family in Perth is so greatly missed and yet on the other hand I am deeply missing my new family in California too.  The heart can be so torn, and in those silent moments of solitude, I hear their voices even louder than before.
Bobby feels the absence of family on a daily basis, but on the weekends the beating of wanting to be closer is all the louder.  We make choices and we stand by them, but it doesn’t mean that every day is battle free.
Kia and Lindsay recently sent over a little package from home of LaraBars, and Bobby and I think of them daily as we walk passed the bowl of goodies in the kitchen.  Rakshi joon also sent through some absolutely gorgeous old bronze bowls and urns to decorate the house with, along with the most luscious of hand weaved red and gold scarves which echoes the sentiments of the Iranian women who sewed a piece of their souls into it.
Missing.  Always missing something.

The Coral Reef

I often think that this love that sits beneath our skin is bigger than the both of us combined, and it will slowly start to seep through our pores and pool onto the floor, until we are swimming through our emotions as they supersede and outgrow our bodies.
As the cold creeps in through the tiniest of gaps within our homes, the warmth of this little thing between the grasp of our palms abounds and takes over, day, after, day.

(I know we've been a little quiet lately, but it's as though hibernation is taking over lives.  We have so many photos to share from our little adventures, and will share them with you laced with love, soon.)

Rainy Days

The slumber of the morning was heavy, as the rain pounded the tiled balcony with a sleepy intent.  We giggled whilst wrapped in the covers at his drowsy impressions of the birds passing by as dawn crept over the horizon, and talked about how happiness was laced within our paths, yet pondered at what happiness really was in the greater journey of life.  As the rain was relentless in its purpose to shower down on the world today, we sipped on the turkish coffee whilst it's aroma permeated amongst the cards and flowers showered onto us from friends far away and close.  There's something quite enchanting about being huddled indoors whilst the world washes by on the outside.

The Clove

I am sitting here in bed, at 1.42am, and the only thing I can think about, is food.  The appetite has been insatiable in recent days, and the only thing I can put it down to is the mental energy I/we have been putting into our new lives together and setting up our photography adventure/company.

Dinner was delicious, and the artichoke and roast garlic sauce I made up was nothing short of spectacular.  However, I have less positive things to say about gluten free pasta...nothing beats the good stuff!
